0 I'm confused

The downfall of ummah starts from the downfall of the ulama  who inherit the prophet's legacy.

What is actually the  prophet's legacy that is left to the ummah? The prophet didn't leave any wealth, status, position nor pride to the ummah.

The holy prophet only left us the statement of tauheed to ALLAH SWT   the  Al Quran and his sunnah.

The phrase 'Ulama carrying the legacy of the prophet' does not guarantee that the ulama will be on a straight path, they could also be cheated by the material world.

This is mentioned in the hadith regarding the end of the world where the worst of humans are the ulama and this is one of the  early signs of kiamah


عَنْ عَلِيٍّ رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ  قَالَ ;  قَالَ رَسُوْلُ اللهِ صَلَّى اللهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ; يُوْشِكُ أَنْ يَأْتِيَ عَلىَ النَّاسِ زَماَنٌ لاَ يَبْقَى مِنَ الْاِسلاَمِ إِلاَّ اِسْمُهُ وَلاَ يَبْقَى مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ إِلاَّ رَسْمُهُ مَساَجِدُهُمْ عاَمِرَةٌ وَهِىَ خَرَابٌ مِنَ الْهُدَى. عُلَماَؤُهُمُ شَرُّ مَنْ تَحْتَ أَدِيْمِ السَّماَءِ مِنْ عِنْدِهِمْ تَخْرُجُ الْفِتْنَةُ وَفِيهِمْ تَعُوْدُ 

It is almost  time when islam will just be a name and not practiced anymore. Quran are only words written but not practiced, their mosque beautiful but without hidayah (guidance), their ulamas are the worse of creatures under the sky and from them comes the fitnah and to them does the fitnah befall.

The word ulama as understood as someoneor a person with religious knowledge serving the goverment/country and holding certain status in the religous department with authority or someone with knowledge belonging to  any political party.

The Ulama residing in the religious department  with authority and power or ulama who join a political party and holding certain authorities in any of  the government bodies are too proud (takabur)  with their power/authority whereas the ulama with an Islamic party are also too proud(takabur) since they are being  respected, followed and idolized by the people who support their party. 

These so called of ulama behave  as if they were 'the dwellers of heaven', how about people who have religious knowledge and are only involved with dakwah (spreading of  Islam)  on the basis of Allah's religion without any specific post, authority nor residing in  any political party? Can they be called Ulama?




يَٰمَعۡشَرَ ٱلۡجِنِّ وَٱلۡإِنسِ أَلَمۡ يَأۡتِكُمۡ رُسُلٞ مِّنكُمۡ يَقُصُّونَ عَلَيۡكُمۡ ءَايَٰتِي وَيُنذِرُونَكُمۡ لِقَآءَ يَوۡمِكُمۡ هَٰذَاۚ قَالُواْ شَهِدۡنَا عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِنَاۖ وَغَرَّتۡهُمُ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةُ ٱلدُّنۡيَا وَشَهِدُواْ عَلَىٰٓ أَنفُسِهِمۡ أَنَّهُمۡ كَانُواْ كَٰفِرِينَ

"O ye assembly of Jinns and men! came there not unto you messengers from amongst you, setting forth unto you My signs, and warning you of the meeting of this Day of yours?" They will say: "We bear witness against ourselves." It was the life of this world that deceived them. So against themselves will they bear witness that they rejected Faith.(Al-An’am 6:130)








What then happens when the ulama that claims tauheed to Allah but do not use the Quran and Hadith as guidance?




Isn't the ulama supposed to have Taqwa and sincerity to Allah and be the model in obeying the commandments and prohibit things that  Allah hates.




Where are they now when the ummah is waiting for the role models since they claim to be carrying the legacy of the prophet.




The prophet SAW calls for mankind to worship one god Allah, and be the slave of Allah but what are the ulama nowadays  calling the mankind to do  what? And for what purpose?




Calling the people to support their government or the political party that they are in is not wrong, as long as they obey the Quran and Hadith but do they really obey?  The  faith of ummah is going downhill.

O ye who believe! Fear Allah as He should be feared, and die not except in a state of Islam.





Our Prophet Muhamad SAW mentioned to Muadz b Jabal, 'have Taqwa to Allah wherever you are, patch the wrong doing with the good deeds, to eliminate it (the wrong doing) and socialize with good behavior. (Ahmad , At-Tirmidzi)
